Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is Walk With Your Flock?

Walk With Your Flock is a free community walk on Austin’s Turkey Creek Trail on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. It’s hosted by Coach Lisa Wade of Mostly Well and Amanda Allen of Austin Thermography, and donations go to Operation Turkey.

Do I have to donate to attend?

No. The walk is free. A $20 donation is suggested, and it goes to Operation Turkey, minus payment processing fees. Our goal is $200.

Do I have to join the email list to register?

Yes. Registering requires agreeing to receive marketing emails from Mostly Well and Austin Thermography. They’re sent regularly and include walk updates, raffle prize reveals, and promotions. You can unsubscribe anytime.

How do the raffles work?

Register and walk, and you’re entered. We’re raffling off multiple prizes from local Austin businesses. We’ll reveal the prizes by email before the walk, and we’ll email the winners on Sunday, November 15.

Where do I park?

Park in the small gravel lot at the Turkey Creek Trailhead, 1670 City Park Rd. It sits just before the Emma Long Metropolitan Park pay station, so there’s no parking fee. From central Austin, take FM 2222 west past Loop 360, turn left onto City Park Road, and look for the lot on the right just after you cross Turkey Creek. It only holds about 20 cars and fills fast on weekends, so carpool if you can and arrive early. Street parking on City Park Road is not allowed and you will be towed.

Are there restrooms or water?

No. There are no restrooms or drinking water at the trailhead, so bring your own water.

What should I wear?

This is a dirt trail, not pavement, so wear shoes with some grip. The walk is just under 3 miles, heavily shaded, with several creek crossings.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! Turkey Creek is an official off-leash, dog-friendly trail.

What if it rains?

We’ll still hold the walk unless the weather presents a danger to everyone.
